Yikes. I’m not depressed, but you might assume so given the last few posts: Vancouver economy gets a D, weightloss motivated by the starving people in the world, Annie Lennox’s comments on money … it’s time for some fun!
Here’s two.
1. Need some extra money? Try busking! Wikihow will give you the need-to-knows of becoming a busker!

(I think I pinched this link off another personal finance blogger – whoever you are, let me know, and I’ll give you the credit you deserve for discovering this very helpful ‘how to’!)
2. And one of Vancouver’s favourite bloggers, Miss604
had a birthday last week … and (this just warms my money-coach heart) took advantage of all the Free Offers if It’s Your Birthday, around town (ranging from free breakfast at Denny’s, free lattes at Blenz, kinda sorta, to free supper at The Spaghetti Factory). So if you or someone you know has a birthday coming up, check out her Birthday Daytimer to find all the free stuff!

Greetings from a NYC busker!
I have to disagree with the Wikihow article about busking. It sais in step 1:
“You don’t have to be great at what you do in order to busk”.
From my experience of 14 years as a busker, only the best acts survive. Busking is no different from stage performing in the respect of competition, especially in big cities such as NYC, Paris, etc. Competition from other buskers is fierce and audiences at such cities have come to expect the best.
All the best,
Saw Lady
http://www.SawLady.com/blog – where I tell what happens when I busk.
Saw Lady, I entirely defer to you. And readers: I just visited her blog and it’s a must. I am in awe.
Wow, nice find, Nancy! LOL
I am in awe as well! I have seen “Stomp” where people dance and make music from brooms, pails and such but this takes the cake!
